On one side, the waves are big and on the other side gentle. Again, we didn’t get to go on the slides, but they have this big wave pool, that I love, every 10 – 15 minutes a loud buzzer goes off warning the swimmers that the big waves are starting up. There are two big areas for the kids to place and there’s a smaller lazy river. This one has a locker rental, but I think it was about $ 5 less than Schlitterbahn Galveston and you can grab a table area or lounge on the «beach» chairs. You can bring in your coolers or you can purchase food from the concessions, the prices wasn’t too bad. Again, we went on a weekday, although it was on a Thursday and there was a long line for the gates to open, but it didn’t take long, at all. This one is a little smaller and not as many slides, but still we enjoyed ourselves.
I had so much fun at the park that I came back the next day!Īnother water park that we decided to venture to, for the first time. I give the park a 5 STAR rating for service. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, one of the absolute best I have ever experienced (and, I’ve been to many water parks). Lockers are available to rent at a small fee ($ 5) and food is available for purchase at the concession stand. The price is great for the amount of attractions the park offers! The park allows outside food and drinks and shaded picnic areas. The park also has mat racer slides, tube slides, body slides, multi-rider slides, and an entire area for the kids with slides and a dumping bucket! In addition to the slides, the park also has a wave pool, a lazy river, a deep swimming pool with a rock climbing wall at the deep end and crossing activities to challenge the kids (and adults like myself who still play on the kids toys). Pirates Bay has Space Bowl, a single rider slide that shoots riders through a tube, spins them around a circular bottom before plunging into a deep pool. If you know me, you know that I love slides and make it a point to ride them all. The park provides the boards! Although the Flowrider is my favorite attraction, there are quite a few really fun waterslides.
We will close the night out with fireworks from the waterpark at 9:30 PM.This park packs a whole lot of FUN into a small area! Do not be fooled by it’s size, this park will keep you and the family entertained for the entire day! The park admission is ONLY $ 20 and children under 2 years old are FREE! Park admission includes unlimited access to the Flowrider, the artificial surf simulator, which allows both stand up riding and bodyboarding.
